Connection Regenerator

Totelly joined forces with Mai bine (Romania) through an Erasmus+-supported initiative called Connection Regenerator, for 16 months between January 2024 and April 2025.

The regenerative approach

How can the regenerative approach can transform not just individuals, but the communities they inhabit?

The Connection Regenerator project was developed to answer that question through practice and education. Its central aim was to foster individual, organizational, and community learning that generates connection, social responsibility, and sustainable development. Specific objectives included:

  1. Establishing transnational cooperation between adult education organizations to enhance sustainability-focused learning.
  2. Increasing individuals' and communities' capacity to connect in regenerative ways.
  3. Creating inclusive, multilingual educational content on personal and collective wellbeing.

Activities rooted in connection

The project included a range of interlinked activities, all rooted in the values of community, regeneration, and shared learning:

  1. A transnational seminar in Romania, which served as a foundational gathering for reflection, storytelling, and collaborative learning.
  2. An online training course certifying 13 facilitators to lead the Offers and Needs Market (OANM)—a participatory method for resource-sharing and connection-building.
  3. Creation of eight educational articles and short videos, available in English, Romanian, and Icelandic, covering topics like self-care, regenerative technology, coexistence with living beings, green spaces, and slow fashion.
  4. Production of two podcast episodes that explored intergenerational dialogue and eco-anxiety through storytelling and expert interviews (Totelly podcast).
  5. Implementation of 20 OANM events across Romania and Iceland, engaging 199 participants in dynamic exchanges of skills, resources, and support.
  6. A closing webinar that gathered the community to reflect on what it means to live regeneratively in a time of global uncertainty.

Results that grow beyond the project

The outcomes of Connection Regenerator are both tangible and transformative. Alongside a library of openly accessible educational materials, the project fostered real community engagement and new leadership in the form of trained facilitators. The 20 OANM events provided fertile ground for peer learning, emotional support, and local resilience-building. In total, the project's outputs included:

  1. 8 web articles and 8 accompanying videos in 3 languages (see below).
  2. 2 podcast episodes reflecting cross-cultural and intergenerational perspectives (see below).
  3. A regenerative lifestyle webinar engaging participants across borders (see below).
  4. Certification of 13 OANM facilitators and the formation of lasting partnerships between organizations.
